Ocean & Air Freight Forwarding
We manage full-container and LCL shipments on established lanes from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Bangkok, and Jakarta to US West and East Coast ports. Our HCMC operations team has been on the ground since 2018, which means we're coordinating at the origin end, not just processing manifests from a US desk. For clients with time-sensitive cargo, we book air freight on the same lanes through vetted carrier partners.
Customs Clearance & Compliance
Licensed customs brokerage for US imports, with in-house HTS classification, ISF filing, and AMS submission. We handle UFLPA documentation support for clients importing from Xinjiang-adjacent supply chains, and carry C-TPAT membership. For most retail clients, getting the customs release right the first time is the whole game: delays at the port cost more than the brokerage fee.
Sustainability Reporting
Shipment-level carbon accounting tied to actual freight data: vessel, route, load factor, and slow-steaming splits. We deliver Scope 3 Category 4 emissions summaries in formats compatible with GHG Protocol reporting and the disclosure requirements retail brands are navigating now. The numbers come from the freight data, not from industry averages applied after the fact.
Trade Compliance Consulting
Import regulatory guidance for US retail brands expanding their SE Asia sourcing or restructuring supply chains. We assist with C-TPAT enrollment, supply chain due diligence documentation, and country-of-origin verification. Customs Release Group was built by people who grew frustrated with a freight industry that treated emissions as someone else's problem and customs compliance as a formality. We run a 39-person team across Seattle and Ho Chi Minh City, focused on SE Asia-to-US retail freight: moving cargo reliably, clearing it correctly, and accounting for what it costs to move it.
The name comes straight from trade documentation. The customs release is the clearance that tells an importer their goods have passed inspection and can be delivered. We picked it on purpose.
